Wonderfully sculptural vintage sterling silver star necklace.
Three beautiful three-dimensional stars sit across the front of the necklace, each one slightly different and deliberately not quite symmetrical — which is part of their charm. Measuring approximately 2.4cm wide × 2.2cm high × 0.4cm deep, they have a lovely substantial presence while remaining effortlessly wearable.
Between each star are handmade sterling silver bars, beautifully shaped with an elegant organic curve. They become slightly thinner and flatter as they move around the neck, allowing the necklace to sit naturally and gracefully against the wearer.
I particularly love the combination of the bold, solid stars with the delicate flowing silverwork — it gives the whole piece a wonderfully modernist feel while retaining that unmistakable vintage character.
The necklace fastens with a lovely firm loop-and-click fastening (you can remove one hook to make the necklace 2.5cm shorter if you prefer) and weighs 21 grams.
