Vintage sterling silver ‘family of 5’ brooch. Lovely studio piece of two parents holding hands with their three children. The interlocking of all their hands giving that really sense of family togetherness. Their faces are set with a cabochon of garnet, and when you read what Garnet symbolises you realise why they chose this stone.
Garnet signifies protection, friendship, trust, commitment, and love. Garnet is also said to keep the wearer safe during travel.
On the 2nd picture I also threaded a chain behind the clasp and it really works as a pendant too. You can just see a small bit of the brooch pin when it’s worn this way.
