I am very privileged to have this piece up for sale. This is a beautiful example of the fine craftsmanship and silversmithing skills of Danish designer Leif Ulrich Daurup. Working in Copenhagen, Denmark from 1954 - 1984.
This piece looks as good as the day it was made. The detail on the fish with their individual scales and etched fins.The fun of the bubble spheres dancing around them. This is a very sculptural piece with varying depths over 1cm. This is a collectable and heirloom piece to be passed down generations. I have not seen this style of brooch come up for sale at auction for many years.
It is hallmarked on the reverse: LD sterling Denmark 925s
This piece is sterling silver and has also been oxidised to really emphasise all the detail. This is also why the back of the brooch is so dark.
