A truly fantastic artisan silver brooch, featuring a beautifully stylised bird with wonderfully organic, hand-crafted details.
The bird is set with two beautiful pieces of iridescent abalone shell, whose gorgeous shades of blue, green, turquoise and violet catch the light beautifully. The larger shell forms the bird’s sweeping wing, while the smaller piece creates the body, giving the brooch a wonderful sense of movement and colour.
One of the most charming details is the bird’s tail feather, which has been hand carved into a scallop-like shape, adding an unusual and highly distinctive element to the design.
